Ipsy Glam Bag: October

Grüße alle!
It's time for my monthly glam bag review! In September I started reviewing the products that I received along with the ones that my best friend received, and I'm going to continue that! Sorry that the October review is a little late, but here we go!

Ipsy Glam Bag Design: October

This month's theme is rather obvious - Halloween! Since I spend the entire year waiting for Halloween and Christmas, this thrills me! So technically the theme this month is "Black Magic," centered around witches! I love every bit of this theme, and the bag is ridiculously cute. You can't tell very well from this photo, but the zipper is actually a little ghost, which just adds another touch and makes this bag even more awesomesauce! Favorite bag design so far, hands down!

theBalm Cosmetics "Hot Mama" Blush

This blush is really beautiful. It's a gorgeous, light, shimmery pink color that is just the right amount of pigment, it doesn't have much fallout, and the formula is very creamy. It's not a bargain price for the product you're getting, but it is a really gorgeous color. So if the price doesn't bother you, go for this - it looks amazing, especially if you coupled it with a really pretty highlighter!
My best friend and I both received this product. We received a sample size, but the full size version can be found on theBalm Cosmetics' Website

NUDESTIX Concealer Pencil in "Light 2"

The formula for this stick is really creamy, and it glides on very well. Once on, it's pretty easy to blend out, but once it has a few minutes it feels pretty stuck in place. It is a good concealer option for on the go, and I would recommend it, but for spot use. I wouldn't use this type of concealer under my eyes to brighten, for instance. The price really throws me, though. Honestly, I'm a fan of the Wonder Pencil by NYX, which can be found here for $4.50.
I received a full sized sample, which can be found on the Nudestix Website or Sephora.

INDI Beauty Buttercream Antioxidant Lip Scrub

Let me start off by saying that this stuff smells amazing. Seriously! Other than that, this scrub feels really nice on your lips and peels off dead skin easily and painlessly. It's a little more oily than I would like it to be, but other than that I don't really have any complaints. Also, if you happen to get this taste in your mouth it pretty much tastes as good as it smells!
From what I can tell I received a sample size, and you can buy a 10oz. & 5oz. product on Indi Cosmetics' Website.

Teeez Cosmetics Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick in

"Romantic Red"

This color is gorgeous! This shade of red I feel would look amazing on so many different skin tones, which is always a huge plus! It smells like cocoa powder and glides on your lips like butter, and its rich and opaque! And let's just take a moment of silence to admire the beautiful packaging... look. at. it! I know it's probably hard to tell from this picture, but the printed design is on a clear tube, and it looks super nifty. The lipstick isn't difficult to get out either, which is the case with some lipsticks like this (I love Urban Decay, but I often have this problem with their lipstick!)... all in all, I definitely recommend if you're looking for a gorgeous deep red and willing to pay the comparable high end price.
I received a full sized product which can be purchased on Teeez Cosmetics' Website.
Direct link:

MeMeMe Blush Brush

I really like this brush. Looking for good blush brushes isn't always an easy task, but this one works really well! It picks up the product easily with little to no fallout, and the design feels sturdy. It's not the softest brush I've ever used, but it's not rough, either - it feels really nice, actually. If you're looking for a bargain, this probably isn't for you. But it is great for a travel sized brush, so if you're looking for that and you don't mind, I would definitely say go for it.
I received a full sized product, which can be bought at MeMeMe Cosmetics' Website.
Direct link:

Cosmoholic Liquid Lipstick in "Mysterious Mocha"

Straight away, the first things I noticed were the color and the smell, both of which are amazing. This also comes with a small mirror on one side of the packaging, and when you buy it full size, it supposedly comes with an LED light in it! Those things are all great, and my quarrel is with the formula, which is too glossy for my taste. If you like this, this product would probably be a home run for you. If it were matte I would give it two thumbs up, but that's just out of personal preference. The formula is great if you're looking for a gloss!
I received a sample size of this product, and you can purchase the full size at Cosmoholic's Website.
Direct link:

Kokie Cosmetics Nail Polish in "Heavenly"

This is a really pretty blue/purple/grayish blend! It glides on easy and isn't streaky, and it stays for a few days before it starts chipping. It's also easy to get off with remover or pick off small pieces once you want to. Perfect color to paint your nails if you want to dress up as a ghoul or maybe even something like the Bride of Frankenstein! Go for it!
I received a full sized product, which can be found at Kokie Cosmetic's Website.
Direct link:

NYX Cosmetics Vivid Brights Liner in "Vivid Gunmetal"

I absolutely love the NYX Vivid Brights liners, and this shade is no exception. In fact, it's fantastic! It's difficult to find a metallic eyeliner, or anything metallic for that matter, that doesn't clump up and isn't runny and uneven. This baby does the trick! It's a beautiful color that's very opaque and doesn't budge once it dries. It's also super easy to apply because of the brush, which I happen to also be a huge fan of. It's really easy to draw as thick or thin a line as you like, and it doesn't drag on your eyelid at all. It's an amazing product and it's at a bargain price, which is the case with most NYX products. I recommend this a thousand times over!
I received a full sized product, which you can buy anywhere NYX Cosmetics is sold - Ulta & Target retail stores I know sell them - and at www.nyxcosmetics.com.
Direct link:
I can't seem to find a direct link for this color, but if you want a different color of Vivid Brights, here is the link - NYX Cosmetics Vivid Brights Liners for $7 each.

pur~lisse Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango and Shea Butters

This stuff smells really good and it feels nice, but I didn't notice such a dramatic change that I would use this over my favorite EOS or Burt's Bee's chapstick. If you would rather skip the chapstick though, I would recommend that you use this and give your lips a chance to soak in the moisture before dabbing off excess with a tissue or cloth and applying lipstick!
I received a sample size of this product, and you can buy the full sized version at Purlisse's Website.

BeautyCon Box

Grüße alle!
I will be reviewing the quarter-annual Beauty Con Box here! I have previously received a BeautyCon Box (I got the Summer 2016 by Kandee Johnson - if don't know her YouTube, check her out, she is awesome! Kandee Johnson's Youtube), but this is the first reviewed box I will be posting as I didn't have blog then.

This month's box is by Angel Merino (aka Mac_Daddyy on Instagram) and MakeupShayla (MakeupShayla on Instagram). Angel Merino owns his own cosmetics line, Artist Couture, of which I have heard excellent things! Many beauty bloggers, including the infamous Nikkie Tutorials, have raved about his highlighters in particular, and though I have never personally tried them, they look pretty fantastic. If you want to see it in action, here is the blog link to NikkieTutorials' Harley Quinn Suicide Squad look.
NikkieTutorials wearing "Coco Bling" by Artist Couture
Anyways, let's dive right in!

Sugarfina Sugar Lips

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect with these, but these are so good. Being a lover of sour candy, this is just great. It is immediately sour when you first taste it, and once the powder is all gone, the candy itself is a mixture of sour and sweet, which just tastes super awesome. Each color tastes different - the website lists the flavors as Watermelon, Strawberry, and Bubble Gum - and they all taste great! They're also gelatin free, which the website also says is good for the vegan and vegetarian friends out there! All in all, do I recommend? If you want to splurge on some candy, heck yes!
A "taster size" packet (from what I can tell) of these came with my Beauty Con Box, but other options can be found at Sugarfina's Website.
Direct link:
Sugarfina Sugar Lips starting at $2.50 (taster size) through $40.00 (2.5 lb. bag).

Simple Cleansing Wipes

Since I discovered Burt's Bees Makeup Removing Wipes, it has been really hard to find a match up. I still recommend them hands down. But Burt's Bees isn't travel sized! These babies were, they smelled fresh, didn't irritate my sensitive skin, and they removed makeup and oil with ease. They're fantastic, and they come at a bargain. I say go for it! They'll be your best friend on the road or in a pinch!
A sample size packet (7 wipes) came in the Beauty Con Box, but more can be found at participating locations selling this brand, which can be found by looking at this page on their website. You can also enter your zip code at this link to find stores participating with this brand near you.
I will link to the wipes at Target.com.
Direct link:
Target - Simple Cleansing Wipes 25 count for $4.49.

Duo Lash Glue in Clear/White

Honestly, I've used Duo Lash glue many times before and it was never my favorite product. It does the job, but for a while I wondered if it was worth it. It's goopy, it takes forever to dry, it smells like lobsters (no, I'm not kidding!), and it comes off easily. If you're not going to be using it very often or for very long, this will do. My personal favorite lash glue that I recommend is the House of Lashes lash glue, which you can find here (House of Lashes website) for $8 or on amazon, here (this link is for dark lash glue and is $16 for two tubes of product).
I received a sample size of this product, but full sized tubes can be found at nearly any store that carries fake lashes. Drugstores, Ulta, Sephora, Walmart... take your pick! I will link to Ulta and Sephora here for you.
Direct link:
Ulta - Duo Lash Glue 0.25 oz. for $5.99.
Sephora - Duo Lash Glue ?? oz. (I couldn't find the amount) for $12.

Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow in "Bella Café"

So this product is really very good for a drugstore brand! The formula is creamy (though isn't as creamy as it could be), but it's pigmented beautifully and blends really easily. It would be a great color to bring a little life into a look and deepen it. For the price it really is a fantastic product, and it will save you some serious money if you want eye shadow that feels high end but isn't priced that way.
The Beauty Con Box came with a full sized product, and you can find this at Milani Cosmetics' Website.
Direct link:

Ofra Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in "Mocha"

The shade of this lipstick is a beautiful, dusty-rose color with brown undertones, even though in the picture on their website it looks way more brown than pink. The formula smells amazing (like cupcakes and icing) and is very creamy, and it does dry down, but is not smudge proof. It feels soft on your lips and doesn't feel drying, but the plus side of a lipstick that budges easily is that the removal won't be a painful, drawn out process! The applicator is a typical doe foot applicator, which isn't the best ever, but it does the job. All in all though, I love this lipstick!
The Beauty Con Box came with a sample sized product, but the full size can be found at Ofra Cosmetics' Website.

Luxie Beauty Large Angled (504) Brush

I'm a big fan of this brush! It's extremely soft and picks up product very well - it's perfect for an even, blended contour! Not to mention that the brush is really pretty - the handle is a soft, pastel pink color and the handle is a holographic rose gold color (which looks awesome, if I do say so myself!). In any case, I highly recommend it!
I received a full sized product, which you can find at Luxie Beauty's Website.
Direct link:

The Browgal Highlighter Pencil in "Gold/Nude" by Tonya Crooks

This product actually works really well! I used it as an inner corner highlight base as well as a brow highlighter, and both worked wonderfully. It goes on easily and the formula is very creamy, and you don't have to work to bring out the pigment - it's beautiful from the first swipe! It's a great product to have on hand, especially if you're on the go or just need a quick touch up! Recommend? Definitely. The only qualm I have is the price, which seems a little high just for a brow highlighter.
I received a full sized product, which can be found at The Brow Gal's Website.
Direct link:

Laser Kitten "Sweetheart Lipstick" Pin

I'm not a big pin wearer, but this pin is really cute - so if you are into pins and you love makeup, you'll probably love this! Other than that, you can probably judge for yourself if you love this or not!
You can buy this pin at Laser Kitten's Website.
Direct link:

Flutter Lashes in "ISlay"

I haven't used this pair of lashes yet, so I'm going to review based on what I can tell from the product without use. First off, they look gorgeous. I love the style, and they would bring glamour to any look. They don't feel or look cheap, and they don't clump on the lash line. With the right glue (as I said before, I recommend House of Lashes glue!) and cutting them to size, I'm sure these would be beautiful, but I can't speak for how they perform since I haven't used them! I will say that the price isn't a bad one! It looks like three pairs come in the pack, which comes out to about $10 a pair of lashes. You can find cheaper alternatives like Ardell lashes, but for the most part, above drugstore brands this is a good price. Based on look and price I recommend, and I hope that when I do use them they live up to it!
You can buy this product at Flutter Lashes' Website
Direct link:

Jouer Cosmetics Essential Lip Enhancer

I wasn't a big fan of this, honestly. It's really thick and sticky, doesn't dry (stays glossy, which is not my preference), and smells terrible. The smell is absolutely awful to me, but it's also extremely strong. It's an overpowering smell, so even if you don't think this smells like cherry cough syrup you should be prepared to smell it for as long as you have it on. My friend uses this when she doesn't have anything else like it around, so it can be useful to someone, but for me any amount of money spent on this stuff is too much.
A sample size of 0.15 fl. oz. came in the Beauty Con Box, but you can buy the full sized version at Jouer Cosmetics' Website.
Direct link:

Mystic Tan "Mocha-Kyssed" Bronzer Lotion

I can't give an honest review of this product here because I'm not big on tanning or bronzing products. I have olive skin that tans easily, and since my skin is also very sensitive I don't bother with any products that I don't need or want. I'm sorry I'm not more helpful here, but I've gotta be honest!
A sample size of 1 fl. oz. was in the Beauty Con Box, and the full sized version can be found at Mystic Tan's Website.
Direct link:

Shayla & Angel Portrait & Stickers

Just like the last Beauty Con Box, there's a card inside with artwork on the front and a list of all the items on the back, and here is this month's portrait! They also sent some stickers this month! :)

And that's it for this season, folks!
So this box was cute and there were some products that I really did like, but I have to say that I actually really loved the first BeautyCon Box I received more, which was Kandee Johnson's Summer Box! Not that this one is bad, but I'm partial to Kandee (check her out on YouTube here), and she had downright amazing products in her box that I now swear by! But I really love that this box is 'curated' so to speak by a different beauty blogger every season, and that means that if you didn't happen to like one month, you could just as well fall in love with the next one! I look forward to my BeautyCon Box now and I can't wait for the Winter Box!

Ipsy Glam Bag - September

Grüße alle!
It's time for my monthly glam bag review! Last month I only reviewed my own bag, but I thought I would try more this time! My best friend also gets this bag every month, so I thought I would review the products she gets as well!

Ipsy Glam Bag Design

This month's theme was "Glamazon." I have to say that I absolutely love the design of this bag! I love the concept, and I love the 1920's look! You can't tell very well from this picture, but its got a metallic sheen and the gold color in the middle is really beautiful. Often times the Ipsy bags I receive have an interesting look and material, which I really love about them!

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner in Black

I actually really love this eyeliner! It is a very nice dark black shade that dries shiny, and once it dries, it doesn't move. I smudged at it quite a bit, and it didn't budge until I applied some water. It would come off easily with liquid or oil, so if you have oily skin I would suggest using primer and setting spray to keep it in place. The pen is also designed so that you can draw a thick line or a very fine one, and you can get in some really thin lines if you want to. It glides on super easily, and I love the results of this over all! Just be sure to use your primer!
My best friend and I both received this product. We received a full size, and it can be found on Eyeko's Website.
Direct link:
Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner for $20.

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme

So this one I didn't try one myself, I had my best friend try it. I was a bit a afraid to be honest, because I have very sensitive skin. I don't think this would be a good product for me for two reasons: my skin is very sensitive, and my lips are pretty plump as it is. She, however, does not have sensitive skin, and her lips aren't very plump. I will say that her lips, while it's not like they went from thinner lips to very plumped lips, did plump a bit after using this, even once the formula was taken off. It obviously wouldn't last forever though, and she would have to keep re-applying to keep them plumped up. The formula has a cherry scent, and she told me that when applied, at first it tingled on her lips. As time went on, it began to sting but she said it was never painful. All in all, the product does what it says it does, but do I recommend it? Not really. Honestly, I would probably just use lip liner to achieve whatever lip shape you're going for.
I received a sample size, but the full size version can be found on Too Faced Cosmetics' Website and wherever Too Faced Cosmetics is sold.
Direct link:
Too Faced Lip Injection Lip Plumper for $22.

NUXE Moisturizing Mask

Very moisturizing, just like it promises! It didn't irritate my skin, it wasn't oily (which is a big plus for me - I have oily skin!), and it did what it said it would! I didn't even need to leave it on for 24 hours to feel its effects. My only qualm would be the odd smell, but it fades quickly and wasn't a huge deal. I was happy that it didn't have a strong smell, anyways - sensitive skin and scents don't mix very well very often! Would I recommend? Yes! It's not a terrible price for what you're getting, and it works really well. Big plus, it says it works for all skin types! Check it out! I received a sample size, but the full size version can be found on Nuxe's Website.
Direct link:
Nuxe Moisturizer for $25.

Seraphine Botanicals Guava Butter

This stuff smells so good. Seriously, it smells amazing. It's a really smooth formula that feels buttery on the lips, and it even tastes great if you get it on your tongue! It really softens your lips and makes them feel moisturized, and it gives off a slight pink tinge. I haven't used it on my cheeks only because my skin usually does not react well to products that have scents, so again I enlisted the help of my friend! The product goes on very easily and since the stick is fairly large, it spreads easily. It's a very nice, soft shade of pink and she said that it feels very moisturizing, so that's a plus! All in all, I definitely recommend!
I received a sample size, but the full size version can be found on Seraphine Botanical's Website.
Direct link:
Seraphine Botanicals Guava Butter for $24.

Befine Exfoliating Cleanser

This may be my absolute favorite thing that I have ever tried from Ipsy... ever. It is amazing. Seriously. I love everything about it. The scent is wonderful and the exfoliate isn't harsh at all, rather it feels very good to rub it in! It scraped off the dead skin cells and it left my skin feeling smoother than it's felt since I was a baby. I don't know what else to say other than I approve %1000! Definitely recommend!
I received a sample size, but the full size version can be found on Befine Cosmetics' Website.
Direct link:
Befine Exfoliating Cleanser for $24.

ulta3 Nail Colour in Sizzling Red

This polish is a beautiful, bright red color and it doesn't chip off! Top that off with the fact that you get a good amount of product for a very low price, and this is a great cheap alternative to buying a bottle of polish at the store! The website only links to a .au page though, so I'm not sure where this product will ship exactly - that to me is the only downfall. I received a full sized product, and it can be found at Ulta3's Website (not to be confused with Ulta!)
Direct link:
Ulta3 Nail Polish in Sizzling Red for $2.30 - you will have to go to this page and click on this color, which is the fourth row up from the bottom, second in from the right.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara in Black

This mascara is fantastic! It doesn't take a lot of product to fan out my lashes and give them length, even on my bottom lashes. The applicator isn't too big or uncomfortable, and this mascara just looks amazing! It also comes off easily and doesn't stick to you like glue! I definitely recommend!
I received a sample size, but the full size version can be found on It Cosmetics' Website and wherever It Cosmetics is sold.
Direct link:
It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara for $24.

Crown Brush Ombre Angle Brush

This brush feels ah-mazing. It's super soft, and it works really well for carving out a beautiful looking contour! It picks up the product very lightly, so it works really well for controlling the product! The handle isn't too short or long and actually has an interesting feel to it! Not much more to say, but I would definitely recommend this!
I received a regular, full sized product, which can be found on Crown Brush's Website.
Direct link:
Crown Brush Ombre Angle Brush for $7.99.

Whish Renewing Mud Mask

This mask was very interesting to use! It has a wonderful smell at first, which I went back and forth about, but as it settled on my face it smelled like it did originally, really good! It feels very moisturizing after, not drying, and while in use you can feel that it is tight on the skin, but not uncomfortably so - in fact, it feels really nice! My only real quarrels with this product are the price mark and product amount. I know that I only received a sample, but it wasn't even half full, which was disappointing to say the least. But the fact that at it's full size, which is only 2 oz., it costs $44 is really disappointing. I wouldn't pay that much for this, and I can't recommend that you do, either. The mud mask that I received in last month's bag was actually really good, and if you'd like to check it out, scroll down to last month's review!
I received a sample size, but the full size can be found on Whish's Website and wherever Whish is sold. I know they are sold at Ulta as well.
Direct links:
Whish Renewing Mud Mask on Whish's Website for $44.

Ipsy Glam Bag

Grüße alle!
Every month I'll be posting my review of the Ipsy Glam Bag here!

Ipsy Glam Bag Design
This month's theme was "Sugar Highness." The bag design was really cute this month, and was designed by the founder of Ipsy, Michelle Phan. I received the bag with the green hair that looked very mermaid-esque to me, which makes me happy! I usually end up loving their bag designs, but this one is one of my favorites!

NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in "Gleam"

This product is amazing. It can be used by itself, but when I want my highlighter to be extra bright and vibrant that day, I'll use this as a base and put a powder highlight over top. It's very pigmented and will definitely leave a high shine, and it's great to mix into foundation if you're going for a dewy look.
I received the color Gleam, but I previously used this product in the shade Sunbeam, which was the other shade I could have received.
Full size product is available for sale anywhere NYX Cosmetics sells their products, including Target, Ulta, and the NYX Cosmetics Website.
Direct links:

Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask in "Vanilla Apricot"

This mask is wonderful. I have oily skin, and after using this mask my skin feels moisturized, but is not left feeling oily. That's a rare thing to come by for me! I also like the feel and scent of it - it smells a bit like red clay at first, but as it settles you begin to smell the not too strong but not too subtle scent in its background. The smell lingers a while even after you rinse, but since it's not too strong I like that about it! I would recommend going a little thicker than you might think to - the first time I used this, I layered it a little too thin and didn't get the full effects. Over all a really great product, and since I also have very sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have any adverse reactions or burning sensations. I used a sample size of this product, but the full sized one is available for purchase as part of a set at Sephora and the Josie Maran Cosmetics Website.

Trust Fund Beauty Liquid Lipstick in "K,Bye"

After trying this product, I have to say that I wish I loved it more. The positives for me are the color, which is a sort of dusty rose with brown undertones, and that the formula doesn't dry out my lips. However, out of personal preference, I don't like the way it sits on my lips after being applied. The formula doesn't dry at all and looks glossy (although it is not), and it comes off everywhere. I'm a big fan of matte liquid lipstick particularly because I can go about my day without having to worry about my lipstick coming off everywhere. This lipstick does just that, but for someone that doesn't mind this I wouldn't worry about it. The formula doesn't have any distinct smell from what I can tell, just a general cosmetic smell with no additives. It wouldn't be my go to, but the lipstick is beautiful and does work, so I can't fault it for my own personal preference. If you like this sort of finish though, this would be a perfect nude liquid lip for you. I received what looked like a full sized sample, and this can be bought at Trust Fund Beauty's Website.

Beauty For Real 'I-Line 24-7' in "Black Magic"

This eyeliner is pretty darn fantastic. I tried it out at first by applying it and then immediately smudging it out, and right away the product had already begun to set in. It will smudge with some help if that's what you're going for, but if you're not don't worry, it dries quickly! After letting it set for a minute or two, I again tried to smudge the line out and it wasn't budging. It would work well as a liner for your waterline, as once it's down it stays very well. It comes off easily with a makeup wipe or makeup remover as well, so you don't have to hurt your eyes trying to remove it. The color goes on and dries as a nice matte black, perfect for any cat-eye you want! I received a full sized sample, and this can be bought at Beauty For Real's Website.
Direct link:

Symphony Beauty Makeup Wipes in "Cucumber & Aloe Vera"

Let me start by saying that it's very difficult for me to find makeup wipes that don't burn my skin, as my skin is very sensitive. These makeup wipes are awesome. Not only did I not have any problems with it, it removes oil and makeup very easily and does it with a scent that I did not expect to love (I don't usually like cucumber scented things), but I ended up loving it. Two thumbs up!

I cannot find a website for this company anywhere, and I couldn't find this company listed at Sephora or Ulta, but I did find a listing for these makeup wipes on Amazon. However, since I have no way of knowing if the seller is actually from the company "Symphony Beauty," I'm not going to provide the link. Do a quick Google search and maybe something will come up for you!
